From 1881 through to 1885, the Derry Journal and other newspapers extensively covered the evictions at Carrowmenagh and Drumaville, collectively called the Carrowmenagh Evictions. Gathered together into a single file, it is a compelling narrative as seen through the eyes of the reporters who were on the scene and continued to write on the evictions afterwards. Additional material is provided covering Land League activity in Inishowen during that period, and from the National Folklore Collection in Dublin.
